At 21 o'clock on Wednesday evening, the police were alerted by the public, who heard "sharp bangs, similar to the sound of gunshots" in the North of Katrineholm area, police write on their website.
A person with suspected gunshot wound was found at the scene. The person is taken to hospital and the injury situation is currently unclear.
The incident is classified as attempted murder and the area has been blocked off.
