Rome (AP) - The rescue ships "Alan Kurdi" and "Ocean Viking" with a total of 121 migrants on board may call Italian ports. The Ministry of the Interior in Rome has assigned them Messina and Pozzallo as safe havens, the news agencies Ansa and Adnkronos report. The EU Commission has already initiated the procedure for the distribution of the rescued, it said. Some countries, including France and Germany, have agreed to accept it.
