Since last summer we have started demanding that our suppliers phase out chlorpyrifos. This is a pesticide that we do not accept. We welcome the fact that EU legislation is changing and that the topic may now be banned. The requirements to phase out chlorpyrifos on fruit and vegetable crops apply to all countries, not just EU countries.

We have included chlorpyrifos in our own quality requirements for pesticides that should not be used. This means that the pesticide is banned for all crops of all fruits and vegetables inside and outside the EU that deliver to our stores. Our requirement will be anchored with our Group Management in January. We have also included chlorpyrifos in our own controls and sample analyzes,
