The government and the majority put themselves in order of battle on the eve of the strike against the pension reform. The president of the LREM group in the National Assembly Gilles Le Gendre wants to "convince people who go on strike that they have no reason to do so".

For Gilles Le Gendre, this strike is primarily led by employees who want to defend the special regimes, which the government wants to eliminate in order to put in place a universal system.
"The unions and the professions behind this strike are under special pension schemes. (...) Moreover, the special schemes today must converge a single regime that will not in any way lower the rights of workers who are under this regime, "he assured.

The majority MP also said that negotiations with unions are "over". "The negotiations are over, we know exactly what the unions asked us to do, and in December, the Prime Minister will be able to show very clearly what the reform will be," he said.
