The 14-year-old Tarantina closes in 29'32, a new Italian record, ahead of another blue, Martina Carraro, silver with 29''60. Bronze to Irish Mona Mc Sharry.

Bronze for Scozzoli
Fabio Scozzoli won the bronze medal in the 50 breaststroke at the short-swimming European Championships in Glasgow. The Italian swam in 25 "84, third ex aequo with Amo Kamminga. Gold went to Russian Vladimir Morozov. Sixth place for the other Italian in the final, Nicolò Martinenghi.

Third place for the relay
Bronze for the Azzurri in the men's 4x50sl relay: Bocchia, Orsi, Izzo and Miressi's Italy took the podium together with Russia, gold with 1'22''92, and Poland, silver in 1'23''74 . The Azzurri's time was 1'24''50.
