In response to this, the man took out of his jacket pocket “an object similar in appearance to the Makarov system pistol and, expressing his intentions to fire a shot, sent it to the head of the traffic police inspector.”
The police officer demanded to drop the gun and fired a warning shot from his service weapon.
“Due to the fact that the man ignored the legal requirements, the policeman made several shots to kill. The man died as a result of gunshot wounds, ”the regional SK said in a statement.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Rostov region said that a traffic police officer in the Rostov region shot and killed a local resident who started shooting at a patrol.
