"Paying with black money" is wrong for racist, but doing so with "money b" is fine. The campaign in which the City Council of Palma has participated against the xenophobic language thus gives the submerged economy good as long as it is said correctly.

The controversy has jumped on Wednesday in the networks after the linguist and professor at the University of the Balearic Islands, Gabriel Bibiloni , called attention to his Twitter account about the nonsense of taking payment with "money b" for good. Specifically, the campaign says that "I will have to pay with money b" is something right.

The campaign "Erase the racism of language" , devised by the Esspiral Group and in which the City Council of Palma participates, also intends that instead of "gypsy arm" we say "long and rolled cake"; and the "figa de moro" let's call it "fruit that pricks". And "black wine" or talk, the right thing is "wine of intense hue."

From the City Council of Palma (governed by a pact between PSOE, Podemos and the eco-sovereign Més) they have already apologized and have assured that they will withdraw that part of the campaign in which payment with money b is taken for granted, according to the press local.

The spokesman of the session, Alberto Jarabo (Podemos), has assured that they have learned of its existence after seeing the Bibiloni tweet and that the City Council "neither supports nor likes to try to normalize what is a payment in b " and He has labeled the example "very unfortunate."

Jarabo has specified that it is not an official campaign, but an external company ( Grupo Esspiral ) that receives a subsidy from the Department of Social Justice, Feminism and LGTBI and that has not been supervised by anyone from the City Council, so no I should have worn the official logo of the session, which can only be placed when all previous filters and controls have already passed.

The campaign was presented on November 19 and the Palma City Council has not yet made public the amount of money the company received as a subsidy.
