A group of activists of the so-called 'Extinction Rebellion' have starred in a protest action on Wednesday at a Zara store in Madrid's Gran Vía to claim "climate justice" coinciding with the celebration of the climate summit (COP25) in the capital.

Municipal Police sources have told Efe that the forty people who have demonstrated for an hour have not caused altercations or traffic has been affected.

According to the images published by the organization on social networks, some of the activists have been introduced inside the shop window with banners with the slogan "we are stuck".

Through the social network Twitter, activists have indicated that they wanted to focus on the "greenwashing" (ecoposture) of textile companies to appear to be "more environmentally friendly than they really are."

"There is no possible solution to the complicity of large polluters," they said in their banners and in a statement via Instagram they have denounced the "false environmental commitment" of Inditex since "the fast fashion industry is the second most pollutant of the planet. "
