03 December 2019The Cassation revoked the obligation to stay with Andrea Carletti, the mayor Pd of Bibbiano, investigated for the 'Angels and Demons' scandal on the alleged system of illicit child custody erupted in Val d'Enza, in the province of Reggio Emilia, last June when the politician was arrested. Six months later he is free again. Pending the reasons, the Cassation would have decided for the revocation ruling that the conditions for the arrest did not exist and therefore for a precautionary measure. The mayor had been subjected to house arrest and then to the obligation of dwelling in the inquiry into the custody of minors.

The Supreme Court had been asked to decide whether to accept the request for revocation of the dwelling obligation to which the mayor of Bibbiano has been subjected since September 20, the day on which an appeal against the decision of the Review had so revoked the house arrest for the mayor of Bibbiano , arranging for him, however, the obligation to stay in Albinea where he lives with his family. In the morning in Rome there was the hearing in which the request of the lawyers accompanied by Carletti was discussed. The first citizen, suspended in this role since the beginning of July, wants to face the possible free man trial.

A process that will not be long in starting. Twenty-nine suspects in the investigation file that aims to shed light on alleged illicit child custody in the Val d'Enza; among these, in fact, Carletti, for abuse of office and forgery regarding the assignment of spaces for the care of minors without public evidence.
