Ulf Kristersson wants to stop the decommissioning of the Swedish nuclear power, which he believes risks increasing Sweden's emissions.

- Now nuclear power is being put down. Ring neck 1 and 2 are literally put down. It increases emissions globally by 800 million tonnes, which corresponds to 8 million trips to Spain, he says.

But climate minister Isabella Lövin doesn't think Ulf Kristersson's argument holds.

- Now I would like to say that Ulf Kristersson is completely unkind. The reason for the closure of Ringhals 1 and 2 is about the stricter safety requirements that exist due to the accident in Fukushima. There, Vattenfall has decided on a market basis not to make the environmental investments, she says and continues:

- But you are obviously prepared to make millions of investments to slow down a market expansion, which is found by the wind power here and now. All to conceal that you do not have a climate policy.

- You can think differently without accusing each other of not having a climate policy. I think nuclear power is better than coal and oil. You think it is better to decommission nuclear power and risk importing foreign electricity that is powered by coal and oil, says Ulf Kristersson.
