The international scrum-half Antoine Dupont, touched on the back during the World Cup and who has still not returned to training with Toulouse, has passed "reassuring" exams, said Tuesday to AFP Jérôme Cazalbou, manager high-level at the Stade Toulousain.

"He has passed reassuring exams that allow to consider a return to the competition before the end of the year" told AFP Jerome Cazalbou while Antoine Dupont is the only international champions of France to have not able to resume training since the elimination of the Blues by Wales (20-19) on 20 October.

Dupont was touched in the back a few days before the meeting of hens of the Blues against Tonga (23-21, October 6). Planned holder in this match, he was finally placed on the bench to return 25 minutes from the end instead of Baptiste Serin.

The international then played in the quarter-final against the Welsh. Then on his return, in accordance with the regulations, he was granted leave which was to end on November 4th, like all his teammates of the XV of France.

Because of "small pains" in the back, Antoine Dupont had been extended a week, much to the chagrin of Toulouse staff and in particular Ugo Mola, the general manager, who had recently hardly hidden his annoyance concerning the management of his injury by the staff of the France team.

The presence of the scrum half at the next meeting, Sunday on the occasion of the third day of the European Cup, in Toulouse against Montpellier, is already excluded, confirmed to AFP another source close to the club.

It will then remain three games to be played before the end of the calendar year: the return leg in Montpellier in the Champions Cup on Saturday 14, a trip to Agen in the Top 14 on the 21st, and the reception of Toulon at the Stadium, the December 29th.
