November 29, 2019: Been away for a week

For the first time, the media reports on the 20-year-old woman who disappeared in Tollarp in northeastern Skåne. The woman has already been missing for a week. The police believe she may have been subjected to human trafficking, but some active search efforts are not ongoing. However, the police are appealing for tips from the public.

"We are checking everything, but we have no signs of life after November 22," police spokesman Robert Loeffel said.

December 1, 2019: Several finds

On Sunday, police block off an area in Tollarp in northeastern Skåne after making several discoveries in the search for the 20-year-old. The finding was made a day earlier by people from the public who made an alarm to the police. The investigation into serious crimes in Kristianstad has taken over the investigation and it is now clear that the police are concentrating their search on Vramsån. In addition to special search dogs, a helicopter is also on site.

- The findings that were made were found right next to the river and therefore you want to check the water a little closer, explained John Sjöblom, internal commander of the Kristianstad police.

During the weekend, the police also knocked on the door. About 50 people from the voluntary organization Fikk also participate in the search.

December 2, 2019: Police Concern

The search in the barred area in Skåne Tollarp continues. At the same time, police, family and the general public are becoming increasingly worried.

"I can say that the longer we go without finding any signs of life, the more anxious we become," said Robert Loeffel, press spokesman for the police.

The case is still classified as human trafficking. At the same time, the police do not want to comment on whether there is any suspected offender.

It has now been ten days since relatives had contact with the 20-year-old. Relatives are also looking for her.

- We have been out looking for her. We know she is alive and will continue until we find her, says the woman's father to SVT Nyheter Skåne.

December 3, 2019: The 20-year-old is found dead

Eleven days after she disappeared without a trace, the police find the 20-year-old dead.

The woman's body is found by divers from the Naval Police who searched Vramsån during Tuesday. The case is still classified as a manslaughter, but according to the police, it could be a suspected murder - something that it is hoped will get answers to shortly.

- Our search dogs then made markings next to the water. We were able to quickly identify the body and contact relatives. The body will undergo forensic examination to determine the cause of death, Robert Loeffel said.

Whether anyone is suspected in the case is still unclear.
