The Dubai Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (DGRFA) has launched the Dubai Languages Program on the Ithraa Smart Continuous Learning Platform, the first of its kind in the UAE and aims to train and develop front-end staff in Dubai's air, land, sea and air ports in general. The Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, said that the establishment of Dubai is working according to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve happiness and satisfaction of people and ensure a better future for them to be a state. He added that the program "Languages of Dubai" comes within the preparations for the reception of the finest event Expo 2020, where the staff of the outlets receive tens of millions of visitors traveling multinational and multilingual, stressing that the Department is ready to receive visitors from different countries in the world in a manner that befits the state, Al-Marri also stressed the need to achieve excellence in the skills of passport officers and front-line staff in all ports, and their important role in leaving the first and last impression of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular.
Brigadier Awad Al Awaim, Assistant Director-General for Human Resources and Finance at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, added that the Dubai Languages Program is an addition to the Ithraa Smart Continuous Learning Platform, which provides an automatic self-training opportunity for employees throughout the year.
