It was in March that the ambulance was called to an apartment at Frödingshöjd in Karlstad. In the apartment was a man suspected of taking an overdose. But when the ambulance crew arrived, he did not want any help. Instead, he threatened them.

Colleagues supported

When the trial against the man was held at the end of November, six ambulances with staff stood outside the Värmland District Court in Karlstad, in a manifestation for their threatened colleagues.

"It happens quite often situations where we do not feel completely safe," said the ambulance nurse Linnéa Nilsson who participated in the campaign.

Got jail

Today, the threatening man was therefore convicted of the threat. He was sentenced to two months in prison for illegal threats and theft, as he also stole a pair of glasses from a store in Karlstad.
