According to RIA Novosti, during a meeting with citizens at the public reception of United Russia, one of the visitors drew Medvedev’s attention to the fact that drivers often apply sharp braking when they saw mobile cameras at the last moment and suggested installing special traffic signs in front of them.

Medvedev, in turn, noted that when deciding on the installation of cameras and warning signs, it is necessary to exclude the possibility of "manipulation" on the part of the traffic police.

“Traffic signs are not set for the sake of replenishment of the treasury or, moreover, the traffic cop’s pocket ... traffic signs are for the other: that there should be no traffic accidents, and they should be placed reasonably,” the Russian prime minister warned.

Earlier, Medvedev promised to analyze the proposal to reduce the allowable speeding to 10 km / h, so that this would not lead to a fine for drivers who were not going to violate traffic rules.

In late August, Vyacheslav Lysakov, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on state building and legislation, expressed an opinion in an interview with the NSN that there are more minuses than pluses in installing private video recording cameras on roads.
