Marseille are aiming for a fifth ranking victory on Tuesday (19.00) in Angers, their closest contender in Ligue 1, while Lyon receives Lille (21.05) with the ambition to make a second consecutive success, after a month of November in the teeth of saw.

This 16th day of championship will end Wednesday with the reception of Nantes by the Paris SG, private leader of match Sunday in Monaco because of bad weather having made six victims in the South-East.

The schedule allows OM, second in the standings, to be able to return (at least temporarily) on Tuesday night at two points of his Parisian rival, provided to maintain the momentum that has brought him against Lille, Lyon, Toulouse and Brest.

Facing the SCO, Marseille will be able to count on central defender Alvaro Gonzalez, back after two games of suspension, as well as their men in form Dimitri Payet and Nemanja Radonjic, scorer in the last two games while he had never scored in 16 months with OM.

The Angevins must deal with several absences, starting with those of Stéphane Bahoken (thigh) and Casimir Ninga (ischios). On the other hand, captain Ismaël Traoré returns to the group, as well as Rayan Aït-Nouri, the international Espoirs.

Beaten Saturday in Nice, the team of Stéphane Moulin narrowly stood on the last step of the podium. A misstep against OM could benefit Montpellier (traveling to Dijon Wednesday), Bordeaux (host Nimes Tuesday) and Nantes, three teams in ambush with a point late.

The Nantais know however that the game promises to be complicated, Wednesday (9:05 pm) at the Parc des Princes against a formidable opponent who, moreover, did not play this weekend. In front of his audience, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé's band will also want to catch up after his missed match against Real Madrid (2-2) last week in the Champions League.

In Lyon, there will be Tuesday a clash between OL and Lille, two other "European" disappointed after their respective defeats against Zenit St. Petersburg and Ajax Amsterdam. In the league, the two clubs are neck and neck with 22 points each, two small units of the podium.

The Lyonnais have not managed to chain even two consecutive successes, all competitions, for a month.
