The resurrection of the 16-year-old's arrival in Portugal has been enormous. After almost three weeks at sea, Thunberg got off the boat together with a sign with the now world-famous message "school strike for the climate" in his hand.

The barely 15 meter long catamaran "La Vagabonde" that took Thunberg across the Atlantic from the USA was followed on the way to Lisbon's port by Reuters reporters who from a boat have sent her last kilometer inland.

Now, Thunberg is expected to give a brief speech and answer reporters' questions during a press conference, according to Reuters.
