In conjunction with the Technology and Recreation Administration conducting an inspection of Halmstad's playgrounds in the fall of 2018, over 300 errors were found which they had to urgently rectify.

To remedy all these errors was considered by the Board not to be financially sustainable. Therefore, the administration at its table had to identify which playgrounds would strategically be profitable to keep.

Of 121, 21 were to be removed as they were not considered safe by EU standards.

- There are so many playgrounds. The budget we have is not enough, but we must remember that there will be playgrounds left. It is also the case that there are playgrounds in schools that are good to use even in their spare time, says Håkan Björklund (C).
