Zelensky considers inaccurate polls that most residents of Donbass want to live in Russia.
“I believe and know that there are people who are for Ukraine. There are also lost ones. And finally, there are those who are for Russia, ”Der Spiegel quotes him.
The Ukrainian president said that those residents who support Russia “can leave,” adding that “everyone has the right to choose where to live.”
He also claims that those residents who retained Ukrainian passports but additionally received Russian passports “lost their way”.
“We must fight to bring these people back. But I would not fight for those people who consider themselves only Russian, ”he said.
Zelensky also said that he was “counting on plan A” in the situation with the Donbass.
