The police have arrested seven people so far in the Duindorp district of The Hague on Monday evening, says a police spokesperson talking to NU.nl.
The arrests were made for throwing stones, overt violence and insult. The ME is also visibly present in Duindorp, for example around Tesselseplein.
There are reports of unrest on social media. Among other things, there are images showing that fireworks are being thrown at the ME. There also seems to be a small fire outside of a church.
The police spokesperson told NU.nl that several small fires were indeed detected in the neighborhood. According to the fire brigade, at least one small outdoor fire was reported in Duindorp. This has since been extinguished.
The fire brigade could not say whether the outside fire was lit.
Restless after probably abolishing bonfires
It is restless in Duindorp since the municipality announced last week that there will probably be no bonfires in Scheveningen and Duindorp
Thirteen people have already been arrested on Sunday, most of whom are minors. Among other things, a child of nine was arrested because he was walking around with a molotov cocktail.
