According to the law, individuals who collaborate with a foreign media agent and receive funding from abroad can be recognized as foreign agents.
The law also obliges foreign media agents to establish a Russian legal entity to work in Russia. At the same time, all their informational materials will have to contain a note that they are disseminated by a foreign media agent.
Earlier, the State Duma and the Federation Council approved a law that allows recognizing individuals who receive funding from abroad as foreign agents.
