- What we experienced is that we received a lower contribution from the state, municipality and region than we had budgeted for. At the same time, we have wage costs that are rising, says CEO Michael Bojesen to the radio.
During the year the opera celebrated its 75th anniversary and for this they had requested extra funding. Although these were not granted, the celebration was carried out as planned, including a tour. Another reason for the poor economy is that the "Autumn Sonata" opera did not attract as much audience as expected.
According to forecasts, the opera goes back by SEK 9.5 million this year.
