It was during the fall of 2017 that the woman made serious accusations against her then-MP Stefan Nilsson via her Instagram account. At the trial in Södertörn District Court, the woman said that the intention was that Nilsson would not be re-elected to Parliament, which he did not become.
The accusations received a great deal of media attention and led to Nilsson being forced to leave the Environmental Party's parliamentary group. He then refrained from running for the 2018 election.
"That's where my political career ended," Stefan Nilsson said in court.
The woman has today left the Environment Party.
