France has decided to add Anguilla, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and Seychelles on its blacklist of tax havens, the Budget Minister announced on the eve of the publication on Monday of a report on the fight against fraud tax.

"Before the Court of Auditors report on tax evasion, I announce that we will blacklist tax havens four new countries: Anguilla, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas and Seychelles, which are not cooperative enough financial transparency, "said Gerald Darmanin, Minister of Action and Public Accounts, in the Journal du Dimanche.

According to him, "France's list will therefore be harder than that of the European Union".

Seven countries have been on the French list so far: Brunei, Nauru, Niue, Panama, the Marshall Islands, Guatemala and Botswana.

The EU includes in its blacklist American Samoa, Fiji, Guam, Oman, Samoa, Trinidad and Tobago, the US Virgin Islands and Vanuatu.
