Copenhagen (dpa) - After ten months of construction, Denmark now completes its controversial Wildschweinzaun along the border with Germany. In the morning, the last fence part near the border crossing Sofiedal should be used just under 20 kilometers northwest of Flensburg. Then the Danish construction project is officially completed. The wild boar fence is one of several measures that the Danes want to use to protect their important and profitable pig breeding from African swine fever. Among other things, the pathogen was increasingly found in Poland.
