Gorbachev also expressed concern about the termination of a number of arms control agreements between Russia and the United States, which could lead to unpredictable consequences.

Earlier, Gorbachev noted the desire of Western countries to appropriate the victory in the Cold War, despite the common contribution to its completion by the USSR and Western states.
