“WDC-1“ Belorussko-Savelovsky ”ahead of schedule will switch to 11-carriage train“ Oriole ”version 2.0 instead of seven-car trains running now. This will increase the number of passenger seats by 357 thousand, ”Izvestia reports from the press service of the Department of Transport and the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure in Moscow.

It is noted that after the launch of elongated trains in total, MCD-1 and MCD-2 will have more than 1 million seats in wagons per day.

It is specified that 11-carriages "Orioles" and 10-carriages "Swallows" are already running at WDC-2, adding in November additional cars to trains on the second diameter increased the number of seats by 670 thousand.

Earlier, Newinform reported that over 3 million citizens used the Belorussko-Savelovsky WDC-1 and the Kursk-Riga WDC-2 in the first week of work of the diameters.

As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted, the decision to increase the number of cars in the train to 10-11 was made in connection with the high passenger flow at the WDC.

The diameter lines of the WDC-1 “Belorussko-Savelovsky” and the WDC-2 “Kursk-Riga” were launched on November 21.
