In Burkina Faso, unidentified gunmen attacked the Yendéré police station on the border with Côte d'Ivoire on the night of 30 November to 1 December, injuring two travelers and causing property damage. This post, the first checkpoint before entering Burkina Faso from Cote d'Ivoire, had already been attacked for the first time.

This Saturday, November 30 at 21:50, passengers from Côte d'Ivoire were completing the last formalities before entering the territory of Burkina Faso. " We were almost done, " says a witness. " All that remained was to verbalize those who did not have their documents in their entirety, " says a safe source.

At that moment, shots were heard. Security forces tried to shelter the passengers. " They were heavy weapons. They were not mere Kalashnikovs, "another security source said.

Two passengers were injured during this new attack. The attackers also took motorcycles belonging to the personnel on duty. The police station records significant material damage. A vehicle and motorcycles were set on fire.

These armed men who attacked the Yendéré post would have come from the surrounding forests by tracks. After the attack, they disappeared into the forest with their motorcycles via these same tracks.

The Yenderé substation is located in western Burkina Faso, 10 kilometers from Niangoloko, the last city in Burkina Faso before the Ivorian border. On March 29, a group of armed men had already launched an assault against the gendarmerie brigade of Yendéré during which three civilians and two attackers had been killed.
