Hadi Zablit, a French-Lebanese engineer currently in charge of breakthrough innovation for Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, has been chosen to occupy the new position of secretary-general of the Franco-Japanese automobile alliance, it was reported on Friday. source close to the file, confirming information from Le Figaro.

Mr. Zablit, a graduate of Polytechnique and Insead, started his career with the diamond group in 1994, before joining the Boston Consulting Group in 2000, where he became the automotive industry leader for Europe. and co-director of the global practice of innovation.

He joined Renault in 2017 and since March 2018 has held the position of Business Development Director of the alliance. He was responsible for partnerships in the areas of new technologies, mobility services and disruptive innovations.

The 49-year-old CEO is a member of the Renault Group Executive Committee.

As Secretary General of the alliance, he will be responsible for coordinating the new industrial cooperation projects announced Friday by the three partners with the objective of improving their operational efficiency and profitability.

These projects include joint programming of future vehicles and convergence of technologies.

These decisions mark a new beginning for the partnership paralyzed for a year by the legal problems of his former boss, Carlos Ghosn.
