Saturday, late afternoon, Météo France issued an orange alert weather report for three departments in southeastern France. The Var, Vaucluse and Drôme are concerned. A marked Mediterranean episode is to be expected.

The Drome is placed in orange vigilance for floods, the other two departments for a risk of flooding.

Soil already saturated with water

This new episode requires particular vigilance because of the intensity of precipitation on a soil already saturated with water, after the strong rainy episode of last week.

Severe thunderstorms are also forecast by Météo France.
