On Friday morning, September 15, an explosion occurred aboard a subway train at the Parsons Green station in south-west London. 29 people are injured but no one dies. Two men, 18 and 21, respectively, could be arrested the day after the deed. The terrorist group IS took on the deed.

Five people are killed and over 50 injured when a man runs into people on Westminster Bridge in central London, after which he stabs a police officer to death. The offender is then shot to death by police. The attack is described as "Islamist-related terrorism".

On the morning of July 7, 2005, four British suicide bombers, inspired by al-Qaeda, carry out attacks on public transport in London. Explosive charges are detonated on three subway trains and a bus in the morning rush hour. 56 people are killed and more than 700 injured.
