In the search for the missing 17-year-old girl, police now announce that a crucial finding was made during Thursday evening.
The police have found a body part that makes it impossible for her to be found alive, police say in a press release.
- We deeply regret that the search for the girl ended in this tragic way. Our thoughts go to the girl's family and friends, says Commanding Officer Lars Eckerdal in the press release.
Due to the preliminary investigation, the police will not go into what was found nor where the discovery was made.
The criminal investigation continues with unabated strength. Searching for the rest of the body will, according to the police, continue in the same direction as previously, that is, the police direct the search work to those that appear in the investigation or to tips that come in.
