“We will sit near the building to convey our voice, a loud protest to the deputies. Our deputies will probably be in the parliament itself, where there will be speeches. I hope that today the police will no longer use water cannons and will not withdraw robocops (special forces), ”said Zaal Udumashvili, a member of the United National Movement opposition party.

It is specified that members of the National Movement, opposition politicians from the European Georgia-Freedom Movement party and activists from the Izmena, Posmey and Shameful movements are taking part in the protest.

On November 26, the Georgian Interior Ministry announced the detention of 28 protesters outside the parliament building.

On November 14, protests began in Tbilisi after the deputies rejected amendments to the Constitution on the transition from a mixed electoral system to a proportional one. Later, clashes broke out between the demonstrators and law enforcement agencies of Georgia.
