According to Axios, during a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Ashraf, Ghani Trump noted that he plans to reduce the number of US troops in Afghanistan from 12-13 thousand to 8.6 thousand.

Earlier, trump flew to Afghanistan on an unannounced visit to visit American troops on Thanksgiving. The President arrived at Bagram Air Force Base.
