According to the deputy, the amendments provide for the introduction of free travel on toll roads for cars on which the person with a disability sign is installed.
“We are preparing these amendments to the law on the social protection of disabled people with a group of deputies. In Russia, personified signs are issued to persons with disabilities who themselves drive a car, or those who transport disabled children. However, they can use free paid parking. But we believe that these benefits can be extended to toll roads, which will become a serious support measure for this category of citizens, ”Nilov said.
The parliamentarian recalled that from July 2020, information on vehicles equipped with the Disabled sign will be stored in the federal register of persons with disabilities.
Therefore, the deputy is sure, technically the issue of free movement of disabled people on toll roads will not be difficult to solve.
The legislator also added that after the preparation of the bill will be sent to the government.
According to the current legislation, certain categories of transport are exempted from toll roads, in particular, ambulances, fire brigades, police, emergency services, military automobile inspection, federal postal service.
Earlier, the traffic police supported the idea of a speed limit on toll roads at 130 km / h.
