No one dares yet in Manuel ( Valencia ) to anticipate the result of the investigations for the disappearance of Marta Calvo on November 7 after entering the home of a man with whom he had stayed through a dating page . The pessimism, however, grows among the residents of this quiet town of just 2,500 inhabitants as the Civil Guard inquiries are known.
The circumstances of the disappearance , in fact, feed the runrún of practically all the conversations in the town and that point to a tragic outcome . A hypothesis that does not rule out even the Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Juan Carlos Fulgencio, who, despite noting that all lines of research are still open, also pointed out the possibility of "a hard end" coming.
The search of the authorities has a double objective: to find Marta Calvo and also the suspect of her disappearance , a 35-year-old Colombian man with a criminal record for drug trafficking and who a few months ago rented a home on San Juan Bautista street in Manuel, a small town of 2,500 inhabitants of the Ribera Alta.
For the first task, the Civil Guard carried out until yesterday night an intense tracking of both Monte Valiente near the house and the house itself . Before disappearing, the suspect thoroughly cleaned every corner with abrasive products capable of disappearing any biological trace . However, the hope is to find elements that can be identified at the floor or wall joints. The same procedure is being carried out with the car, a black rancher, which the suspect handed over to a friend to scrap and make him disappear.
Meanwhile, dogs tracking specialists toured the area yesterday searching in chasms and wells , even in some other uninhabited house in the town, to find Marta . Neither the authorities nor the family are already optimistic about the possibility of finding the girl in good condition.
The other part of the investigation is focusing on the suspect. "He looked little", "nothing was known about his personal life" or "we have seen it twice and at night" were some of the few comments that slipped neighbors. The investigation keeps open the hypothesis that he was able to flee the country , since the last time he was seen was two days after the disappearance, after delivering the car to the friend and opening the door of his house to Marta's mother, who went to look for his daughter following the location he had sent. Since then, it has vanished.
Tracing the link that he had with the disappeared is important for the clarification of what happened, since although the mother's complaint ensures that they were left through a contact page the same night of her disappearance, some neighbors maintained yesterday that they had already been seen together on different occasions, a circumstance that has not been corroborated by research sources.
