Despite several meetings and discussions, the working environment for the nurses at five homes in Heby municipality has not improved. This is considered by the Healthcare Association, which has now written a so-called 6: 6a notification with demands for several work environment measures.

"No change"

- Signals have come a long way from the staff. Early this spring, we heard about deficiencies in the work environment. We have talked to the employer on a number of occasions and had meetings, but there has been no change, says Johan Bäckander, chief safety officer at Uppsala Healthcare Association.

"We always take information seriously from trade unions and welcome the Swedish Work Environment Authority's inspection," says Irja Gudmundsson, Head of Operations at Heby Municipality.

In the clip above, Anna-Lena Alriksson and Emma Jenssen, both nurses, explain why they resigned from their jobs and roles in Heby municipality.
