It was at 17.13 on Wednesday that the alarm came in about a brawl in a staircase in Varberg, between a 55-year-old apartment owner and a man who was visiting. When police arrived, they discovered that the apartment owner had been stabbed on the upper body.
Later on Wednesday evening, at 21.19, a man was arrested in his absence, suspected of attempted murder, according to Chamber Prosecutor Frida Hörlinge.
"Now the police are trying to locate him to pick him up for questioning," says Prosecutor Frida Hörlinge.
The apartment owner is still being cared for in a hospital, according to Anna Göransson, the police spokesperson.
