“For the dialogue to take place, you need the desire of both sides, Russia is ready for negotiations, but Ukraine is showing some political throwings and is constantly complaining about the format of negotiations and the Russian side in particular,” Balbek said.

The MP noted that Germany and France could influence Ukraine in the format of the “Norman Four,” but the parliamentarian stressed that they should come to this decision “without anyone’s hint”.

Earlier Zelensky commented on relations between Ukraine and Russia. The Ukrainian leader called the situation “difficult” and noted that the dialogue would be “launched during the Norman meeting of the four leaders.”

The next Norman-format summit is scheduled to be held in Paris on December 9.
