Investigative committees to isolate US President Donald Trump have announced that they may submit a report next week on his irregularities, without ruling out calling more witnesses, and investigators are preparing a file to hand him to the committee that will consider drafting indictments against the president.

The head of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, told lawmakers in a letter that the file will be sent to the Judicial Committee after the return of the US Congress from the Thanksgiving holiday, as of next Tuesday.

"The evidence of the president's wrongdoing, collected so far, is clear and almost compelling," Schiff's letter said.

He continued: «What remains to do is to decide whether this behavior corresponds to the position of the presidency, and whether it will allow the launch of the constitutional path of isolation».

He explained that the investigation "categorically reveals that Trump linked the visit of the new President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelinsky to the White House, and provide military assistance to Kiev, the opening of Ukrainian authorities politicized sham investigations, which will help Trump in his campaign for a second presidential term in 2020."

He explained that «the committees do not exclude the possibility of further hearings», pointing out that the Committee may call for more witnesses. After the hearings, the Democrat-controlled House could quickly move to a vote to indict the president for impeachment, after which the Senate will try him and is unlikely to fire him, with Republicans in control of this upper chamber of Congress.
