"Celebrating the same traditions is important for integration, it makes people feel together," says Adnan Bainca, founder of the United People's Association, which for a couple of years has made sure that children and young people can celebrate Christmas Eve.

The actual event is at the youth center Mittpunkten in Varberg and in previous years there have come children and young people from different backgrounds, or children who for different reasons do not want to be at home on Christmas Eve.

The first time with Kalle Duck

- Last time we had some girls with a veil who came and thought it was an ordinary day and that the leisure yard was open. All of a sudden they would get Christmas food, Christmas presents and check out Kalle Duck. They changed very quickly from not knowing what it meant to "wow, what is this amazing day". It's a bit of a feeling with us all.

- Why should we look at Kalle, is anyone always wondering. I don't know I usually answer, but now we will. And it is usually very appreciated.
