UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has witnessed the launch of the Smart Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform aimed at enabling the private sector to contribute effectively to the sustainable development of the country.

This came during the third session of the annual meetings of the UAE government, as the launch of the smart platform for corporate social responsibility, which is supervised by the `` National Fund for Social Responsibility '', in order to activate the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 2 of 2018 on corporate social responsibility and enterprises.

The Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Fund for Social Responsibility, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, said that the platform represents a unified reference for the national priority social responsibility projects related to the sustainable development goals in the State, in order to ensure the stimulation of institutional giving and enhance the contribution of the private sector in the development of society. By measuring performance indicators, entrepreneurship, awareness-raising, and establishing new partnerships.

Al Mansoori added: “We aim to bring the UAE's CSR rating to the forefront globally, and link the performance of companies with the positive impact of their contribution in various social, environmental and economic areas in line with national priorities, in order to achieve the objectives of the CSR Index.”

The CSR platform is a smart portal that provides organizations, institutions and companies with information on the national strategy for sustainable development, the most important initiatives, programs and development projects launched through it, in addition to coordinating the interaction between the government sector and private sector institutions.

The platform aims to organize voluntary contributions to the development projects and programs listed in it, and document and coordinate the efforts of social responsibility, as it contains a comprehensive database of all listed companies and establishments, the values ​​of their contributions, development projects and programs submitted by beneficiaries in the country, and sectors benefiting from the available contributions, according to priorities. Developmental in the state.

The platform also includes CSR studies, educational and training guides, where registration provides an opportunity to participate in the national CSR index. The National Fund evaluates the performance of corporate social responsibility across different sectors, measuring its social impact, and advertising the best companies in each sector.

So far, the platform has announced five projects that seek funding and support companies and institutions keen on social responsibility, namely: National Academy of Infrastructure, which is an integrated project that contributes to the development of infrastructure, and has the direct support of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, the project aims To support the national cadres to contribute effectively as technicians, consultants, technical supporters and supporters in the fields of infrastructure, with the aim of supporting Emiratization strategies and related indicators, managing private data to find solutions to local and regional challenges, and promoting growth. And sustainable economic.

The platform also includes the Energy Panels Project, which aims to provide solar panels to the homes of needy senior citizens, parents of people with disabilities and beneficiaries of security in remote areas, and is supported by the Ministry of Community Development, in order to provide a sustainable lifestyle in line with indicators of the green environmental footprint, On reliable and sustainable modern energy services.

The World Autism Center project includes a skills development and behavior modification center, a medical center with specialists in psychiatry, neurology, speech and nutrition, and recreational and educational spaces, supported by the Ministry of Community Development, with the aim of achieving the full integration of people with disabilities and harnessing technology in their integration.

The Emirates Mine Project, sponsored by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, aims to collect waste in neighborhoods and residential areas by encouraging and involving community members and institutions in contributing to waste minimization and increasing the rate of treatment.The idea is to establish and operate centers for the collection of recyclable materials, distributed On residential neighborhoods, strategic locations cover specific areas at the state level.

The Family Village project, supported by the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA), is one of the most prominent projects in the Smart Corporate Social Responsibility Platform, providing a real home for orphaned children, which gives them a stable and balanced family atmosphere and aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal # 1.
