26 November 2019The Open Arms ship is attached to the port of Taranto and the operations of disembarking of the 62 migrants who are on board, aid between Italy and Libya, are underway. Migrants are transferred for the first identification to the port's hotspot. The Red Cross volunteers welcomed them. Lending to migrants also a first medical assistance and guaranteed them an essential restoration. According to what was declared in the last hours by the head of the mission Riccardo Gatti, on board there would be 26 minors of which 24 are unaccompanied, a young man would have firearms injuries and there would be people with strong burns.

On the other hand, the Aita Mari ship with 78 migrants on board has flown to the port of Pozzallo: 71 men, 6 women and one child. The ship's doctor was on the ship for the first health checks. The migrants will be transferred to the Pozzallo hot spot. The Spanish NGO Salvamento Maritimo Humanitario had obtained the assignment of the safe harbor - Pozzallo (Ragusa) - on the evening of November 24th but due to bad weather it was sheltered on the south-eastern coast of Sicily waiting for an improvement in the sea weather conditions between Catania and Messina .
