She made it to the final in this year's edition of Melodifestivalen with the song "I do me". Next year she will compete again with the song "Ballerina".

The song Ballerina is about going your own way and believing in what you do. Both the music and the performance will be something we have never seen by Malou before.
- There are almost two completely different songs, the song last year was a little more fun and this is a bit more mid tempo, more for Sia and Billie Eilish. It's hard to compare, but I would say that this one will reach a slightly older audience than my previous song.
The first race starts on February 1st and the final will be held on March 7th. In 2020, the competition will mark 60 years and program director will make the new trio David Sundin, Lina Hedlund and Linnea Henriksson.
