“Counteraction to the production and trafficking of counterfeit medicines should be the subject of constant attention on the part of state bodies of Ukraine, since counterfeiting medicines threatens the country's internal security,” the press service of the head of state said.

So, for the manufacture, purchase, transportation, transfer, storage for the purpose of marketing or the sale of deliberately falsified drugs, violators will be deprived of their liberty for a term of five to eight years.

In the event of a person's death or other serious consequences as a result of the production and circulation of drugs, attackers are threatened with imprisonment of 10 to 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
