As the court told RIA Novosti, in the opinion of the journalist’s lawyer, she was in no hurry to investigate the story of the drugs planted.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the classified materials of the criminal case against the journalist Ivan Golunov, recalling that the investigation has the right in certain cases to classify cases based on established criteria.

On November 6, Golunov lamented the slowdown in the investigation of his case, despite the fact that the initial investigation "was very good."

He recalled that he complained to the court about the inaction of the investigation. So, during the court session “it turned out that the Russian police did not know that he had been beaten in the police station, no one had reported the crime.”

At the end of October, Golunov’s lawyer complained to the court about the investigator of the Investigative Committee, because, according to him, the agency was no longer interested.
