This week, a lawsuit comes against a CEO of a major company in Central Sweden. The man, who is in his 50s, has been arrested on suspicion of, for example, several cases of purchases of sexual acts by children in Örebro municipality.

At the end of October, a man aged 40 from Örebro County was sentenced for three cases of the same crime. Just over two weeks later came the next verdict. A man in his 50s from Värmland was also convicted of, among other things, the purchase of sexual acts by children. According to the judgment, the man has previously been convicted of four cases of sexual service purchases.

Sentenced to guardianship

The sanction for the convicted men became a custody order with a special requirement that they undergo treatment programs to prevent them from recurring in crime.

In all cases, the men met young girls through so-called sucker dating sites online. According to Mia Schyberg, it is young people who apply for this type of online forum.

- It is not stated that it is about sex, but there are other hits that are packed in a luxury package, she says, and says that the youngest who sold sex was 14 years.

The sugar dating sites appeared a few years ago. According to the pages themselves, the purpose is that mainly older men should pamper young women with, for example, gifts and dinners. But according to police, sugar dating often leads to prostitution,

- Those we meet say that at first they thought it was going to be a date, but they quickly realized that something else was in demand, says Malin Forsell, an analyst with the Bergslagen Police.

Absent parents

Mia Schyberg also meets the young people who sell sex and, according to her, they often tell the parents that they were absent.

- You have to pay more attention to how our young people are doing today. The parents do not notice that you come home with an expensive jacket or a tattoo you would not be able to afford and I think that is scary, she says.
