Overturned ship with about 15,000 sheep. Hard rescue operation.

On the 24th in the Black Sea off Romania, a freighter carrying nearly 15,000 sheep capsized and a hard rescue operation was carried out.

According to AFP, the cargo ship “Queen Hind” was capsized in the Black Sea after leaving the Romanian port on the 24th to go to Saudi Arabia.

The rescue team rushed to rescue 21 and 32 sheep, including the Syrian and Lebanese crews, but there were 14,600 sheep left in the cargo ship floating on its side. And hard rescue operations continued. The cause of capsizing is not clear.

From the footage of the site, you can see that dozens of sheep are coming out from the freighter's fence and listening to the surroundings uneasy.

The Romanian livestock exporters union commented that “If you can't transport livestock safely over long distances, you should ban them altogether” and urges an urgent investigation.

The EU has raised concerns about transporting livestock over long distances, and requires consideration for animals, such as stopping transport when temperatures exceed 30 degrees.

Romania is the third EU producer of sheep meat, but has been criticized by the EU for reluctance to respond.
