According to the country's Central Election Bureau, Johannis is gaining 65.88% of the vote, while his rival, ex-Prime Minister of Romania Viorica Danchile - 34.13%.
The turnout in the elections was 54.46%.
Earlier, similar figures, citing data from the exit polls, were published by the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Planning.
The second round of the presidential election was held in Romania on November 24th.
