Opposition parties M, KD, V and SD felt that the municipal plan's budget had undergone so great changes that it could not be considered ready and irritated.
"They chose to present completely new economic conditions, which no opposition was told until the meeting, which is very serious given that the budget controls the conditions for the whole of 2020," says Mattias Eriksson Falk (SD) municipal council in opposition.
- Both the majority and the opposition have had the same conditions to start from, I do not know if they want to delay, but you always have the right to reimburse. If you want a new budget debate in December, you will get it now, says Åsa Wiklund Lång (S), the chairman of the municipal council.
- We first noticed at the meeting how they tried to sneak in changes. You can make editorial changes from the municipal council decision, but here we talk about tens of millions, so you do not, says William Elofsson (M), municipal council in opposition.
The budget has now been postponed one month to the next municipal council in December.
